“She is totally not available to you.” – that’s what John got from a co-worker when he inquired about the super cute woman who had just started working at their company. So nothing happened. And nothing continued to happen until Kristen messaged John via Facebook, he then asked her out on a date and the rest, as they say, is history.
History that continued to be made last Saturday at Jay Peak Resort as friends and family gathered in Canada adjacent! to witness Kristen and John become husband and wife. Having talked with Kristen for well over a year, we knew how much blood, sweat and tears, not to forget LOVE, went into this wedding. From the heirloom rings to the flawless dress to the tiniest of details, everything came together beautifully thanks to the amazing support system around Kristen & John.
Kristen’s condo was buzzing with family & friends, some of whom have been friends since being crib-neighbors as newborns – it was so much fun being surrounded by this many amazing women.
The golden lace in this picture belonged to Kristen’s grandmother and Kristen turned it into a beautiful and stunning belt for her Sarah Seven wedding dress.
The guys, in the meantime, were pretty busy themselves, ironing, tying ties and were a super cool, fun and relaxed group.
Kristen and John had set aside some time prior to the wedding ceremony to do a first look session and to say private vows to each other and John’s reaction to seeing Kristen was absolutely priceless.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen were awesome and super fun & braved the rain like champs!
You often hear “there wasn’t a dry eye in the house” and the same was decidedly true for Kristen & John’s “public” vows.
Congratulations you two!!!
Right around the time of the official “I do’s”, the sun came out as if on cue and we managed to gather this fun photo of all the wedding guests right after the ceremony before heading over to the reception – the land of Mojitos & Martinis – the bride & groom’s signature wedding cocktails!
We took a quick detour to take advantage of the sudden sunshine and took some gorgeous photos of two gorgeous people around the property.
The reception at the International Room absolutely rocked. Dances, drinks, and DONUTS galore!!!!
Towards the end of the night, we snuck out for a couple of minutes and managed to finally light our sparklers despite the winds and had a blast along the way.
Kristen & John – you’re already en route to Fiji and we wish you a blissful and amazing honeymoon, may it exceed even your wildest expectations!!! Throughout the entire planning process, you handled everything that came your way with poise, grace, dignity and a sense of humor and it was an absolute honor to document your day for you!
With much love & appreciation.
And, of course, this blog post wouldn’t be complete without the amazing team of Vermont wedding vendors:
