14 years ago, a little brindled pittie girl walked right up to Damian, sat in front him and introduced herself. We were instantly head over heels in love. Desperately and deeply in love. We became a family that very instant.
Our journey took us many miles from coast to coast with many great adventures and many awesome snuggles. Daisy was never “just” a dog, she was our baby girl. She changed our lives, made us better people. She taught us about patience, unconditional love, to never hold a grudge and to enjoy life to the fullest. She patiently adopted Jakebert and later Shelly, Marvin, Grover & Gus-Gus and taught them all there was to know.
14 years with Daisy will never be enough. When we had to say our “see you later” last Thursday, our hearts broke into a million pieces. Daisy’s run as pup on this plane came to an end. While we know she didn’t have to suffer, all six of us are shattered. Right up to the end, she gave us hugs and kisses; she always knew just when a good kiss was needed. I have to believe we will meet again because the thought of not being able to enjoy her spirit is inconceivable.
Baby Girl – thank you so much for the last 14 years. We miss you so very much.
Kat, Damian, Jake, Shelly, Grover & Marvin.
