I absolutely LOVED photographing weddings at the Webster Barn in Hyde Park. As far as Vermont barn weddings go, this venue had it all – sweeping vistas, an incredible outdoor ceremony location with quite possibly the longest walk down the aisle, a kicking barn and just so many super cool spots to take wedding photos.
This throwback takes us all the way back to 2009 (has it been this long???) and Scott & Emily’s Vermont summer wedding.
It was a perfect summer day, Scott, Emily, and their friends & family lovingly decorated the barn and set up the ceremony location, happy kids and adults were milling around; everybody was relaxed and had a fantastic time. Scott rode his bike down the aisle …
and after the ceremony, they rode the bike back down the aisle together.
If I sound a little bist nostalgic, it is because the Webster Barn is no longer a wedding venue. It all ended when a new neighbor complained about the noise and actually managed to have them close up shop, despite the venue only allowing 10 weddings per year and making all sorts of accommodations to be a good neighbor. The lesson here: it only takes one truly miserable person to ruin an amazing wedding spot for future couples. 🙁
However, there are still tons of gorgeous Vermont wedding venues out there so definitely let me know if you need recommendations.
