If you follow wedding forums, you’ll notice that the “burlap/mason jar” battle is still raging on. 🙂 Some call it overdone, others downright hate it (yikes!) and others (myself included) still think it’s timeless, beautiful, super versatile and perfect for a Vermont wedding.
There are so many way to use burlap, be it as table runners, as napkin rings, as bridesmaids clutches, dressed up or dressed down, with vintage china, modern china as a juxtaposition, elegant china … there’s really no limit to burlap. I never get tired of photographing all the creative ways my couples come up with to make their Vermont wedding truly their own.
Molly & A.C. had a stunning outdoor wedding at the shores of Lake Willoughby and endless amounts of love went into their DIY wedding decor. There were mason jars full of wildflowers, Vermont Maple Mustard as wedding favors and … burlap table runners that looked absolutely stunning!
In short: have fun planning your wedding! Do what you enjoy, include what you want to include. Don’t let a wedding magazine, blog or anybody else tell you what’s supposedly trendy right now.
Happy Wedding Planning!
