Lisa & Benjamin’s Vermont destination wedding at The Notch House was a family affair from beginning to end, lots of personal touches, an amazing bar built by a family member, make-up and hair being done by Lisa’s cousin, the best sister/friend anybody could hope to be growing up with, the world’s cutest puppy, who managed to steal the show everywhere he went and an overall amazing group of people.
This is probably my favorite “getting ready” photo ever. The cabin at the Notch House has this great mirror and Lisa’s facial expression says it all!
Lisa & Benjamin didn’t get married at the “traditional” spot behind the house with Notch view but instead opted to get married in the Amphitheatre’s more relaxed and communal setting, which fit their personalities perfectly.
When your pup eats your program halfway through the ceremony. 🙂
During the ceremony, guests placed stones with their wishes & thoughts for Lisa and Benjamin into a glass bowl.
While Ben’s uncle couldn’t make it to the wedding in person, he sent a very worthy replacement.
After rocking the family formals, we took a quick trip through the woods down to Lake Willoughby to have some fun.
By the time we came back, the amazing folks from Farmers & Foragers, a local & organic Food Truck out of Burlington, had set up and the food rocked!
Right around sunset, we made another trip down to the lake to take some really cool photos without any of the afternoon sun worshippers.
Lisa & Benjamin, it was such an incredible honor to be asked to photograph your wedding and to now share our wedding anniversary! You’re two amazing people and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!
