Robyn & Greg’s first date might have been unconventional and it may or may not have defied any and all common sense but when you know, you know. When something is right, it’s just right. And when something is so right, conventions don’t apply. Thank God Greg didn’t go the Appleby’s route or friends & family would not have gathered at the Inn at Mountain View Farm to be treated to a spectacular Vermont fall wedding weekend, amazing scenery, fantastic food, cake, Apple Cider Margaritas and Contra Dancing!
Not getting married outside overlooking the Lowell Mountain Range & Willoughby Gap was never an option. The fantastic Jim made sure that Robyn got her wish despite a forecast that predicted rain to fall during the time of their ceremony, chairs were wiped dry as guests were shuttled back and forth and the wedding party was getting ready to make their way down the aisle.
As John Ruskin once said “Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.”
I’m so in love with this photo of Robyn putting the wedding ring on Greg’s finger as it perfectly captures their joy of being a married couple.
Woot! Woot! Congratulations!!!
To me, the best wedding photos are captured when the couple is truly being themselves.
What’s not to love about a Vermont barn wedding?
Particularly one that has Contra Dancing!! Which was so.much.fun! It was such fun to watch Mary DesRosiers call the dances and everybody getting onto the dance floor –
Massive shout out to Jennifer, who is not just Robyn’s sister-in-law and bridesmaid but who also baked this stunning (and delicious!) wedding cake.
Robyn & Greg – Congratulations again! Your day couldn’t have been any more perfect and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and outdoor adventures together!
