Left or right? To cancel or not to cancel? A simple swipe and family & friends might not have traveled through an icy rain storm to witness Brynn & Matt’s wedding at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort. Luckily, nobody swiped left, nobody did cancel that first date and by the second date, they knew it was forever.
Brynn’s dad described Brynn as “special”. Not Ralphie special but special ‘special’. We all know that one person who just has that certain something about them. They’re kind. They’re gracious. They’re … special. That’s Brynn.
It was fantastic to see this amazing group of people come together to celebrate Brynn & Matt’s Vermont wedding. As the women were getting ready on the main level of the house, the guys congregated in the lower level for a round of pool and games and every.single.person was beaming with excitement. There was nothing but smiles, hugs and laughter, even as we took the wedding photos outside in the cold but you couldn’t have told by the smiles on everbody’s face.
In theory, we would have a Vermont winter wedding on the snow covered patio, surrounded by heaters with views of the gorgeous mountains in the background. Practically, the day before their wedding featured temperatures in the 60s, snow not just melting but evaporating, and the day of Brynn & Matt’s wedding saw an ice storm moving in. Through it all, Bynn remained calm, centered, happy and just went with the flow. The ceremony was moved into the barn and was simply beautiful & incredibly heartfelt.
We caught the last couple of minutes of daylight and took some really quick wedding photos with the two of them and with Ralphie (who is a complete and utter doll!) before heading back to cocktail hour to warm up. I love, love, love when my couples actually get to spend the majority of cocktail hour with their loved ones.
There’s only one word to describe the wedding reception in the barn: EPIC. Heartfelt speeches & toasts, beautiful décor, more hugs, more smiles, tears of joy, and a wild dance party.
Icy rain & no shoes? No problem!
Brynn & Matt (and Ralphie) – thank you so much for having me be part of your day! Have an amazing trip to Hawaii! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
