Four days after James and Liza’s wedding and we’re still humming “I want to be a Cunningham” to the tune of “Macho Man”. That’s how epically fun their wedding day was. Then again, it IS Liza and James and hearing about their love story, their proposal, and their journey together made us giddy with excitement for their day and holy cow, what a day this was.
Liza & James managed to combine the charm of the Irish with plenty of Southern charm in the heart of Vermont overlooking the Green Mountains at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort.
Getting ready, everybody could not have been more welcoming than their family and friends; everybody was lending a hand, and over at the guys’ chalet, a true MVP emerged. Massive shout out to Steven for getting the guys’ bow ties and pocket squares sorted out!
Liza’s incredible wedding dress that definitely brought a “touch of Charleston” to their Vermont destination wedding and Liza’s smile and kindness light up every room.
I so adore photographing weddings together with Damian, who captured this photo of Liza as she was about to walk down the aisle to join her parents.
We had an absolute hoot on the party bus heading back to the Inn where the drivers were awesome shuttling us around for true Vermont wedding photos. When it started to rain for the family formals, these families handled it like champions. They posed in the rain with their umbrellas, they trekked to the beach with us, and then posed for more wedding photos at the barn. Thank you all so much for being such incredible sports and for making this happen for Liza & James!
Liza & James. Words fail. You two are truly two of the happiest, in love, and fun couple anybody could hope to hang out with … and take gorgeous wedding photos along the way.
Seriously, how gorgeous is Liza?
Finally – party time! Cake cutting & food. Not only were we treated to an elegant wedding cake, nope, there were cookies, cupcakes, and more marvelous treats. Yum! James also showed how a true gentleman handles the cake cutting & feeding!
This was an EPIC night! The Marsels rocked the house, James and Liza took turns at the mic, and everybody was on their feet rocking it out. If you’re looking for a wedding band who will have folks crowd the dance floor, look no further.
Before biding our farewell, we headed out for one quick photo session after dark and again, had so much fun along the way.
Liza & James – you’re probably at a pristine beach somewhere in Tahiti and are enjoying life as newlyweds to the fullest. Damian and I are so incredibly honored that you picked us to be your Vermont wedding photographers – we know how much you appreciate great photography and how important your wedding photos are to you!
Wishing you an incredible honeymoon and a lifetime full of happiness & adventures!
With much love & appreciation.
Kat & Damian
