The outpour of love and support for Maia & Joey on their wedding day was something to be experienced. From bridesmaids helping move furniture, spending a small fortune on umbrellas, groomsmen bringing extra pants in case somebody forgot theirs (which happened!), to everybody toughening it out at Elevation 4000 – this was one special group of people.
Then again, this is Maia & Joey so it is not quite a surprise that their families & friends are as amazing, warm, welcoming, and supportive as they are.
I love this next photo of Maia’s bridesmaid so, so, so much. These ladies were hands-down awesome! We scouted for the best location to take a picture of a dress and after some creative re-decorating, we managed to wrangle the blinds into submission ….
… for the final image of Maia’s gorgeous dress!
The flower girls were just too darn cute and after a quick detour made it all the way down the aisle.
After the super sweet ceremony, we headed up to Elevation 4000 and I have to say – it is SO.Much.Easier. being a guy. Getting ready for guys: brush your teeth, put on a suit or tux, mousse your hair, figure out how to get the tie straight. Head to ceremony.
Rain & wind at elevation? Not problem when you’re wearing a jacket and long pants.
The ladies meanwhile were battling hair and dresses being whipped around in wind. Try looking fab & glam while trying not to flash the world and yet, these ladies did it with grace, style and a fantastic sense of humor.
Now add a sense of adventure and fearlessness to the gorgeous & fab part and I present to you: Maia! She completely knocked my socks off when scrambling up the rocks in her wedding dress, determined not to let 50 mile an hour winds and a downpour stand in the way of gorgeous wedding photos and I love her so much for it!
This is why I love being a Vermont destination wedding photographer so very much – you absolutely can’t beat the views and the scenery and we attract the best couples, hands down!
Back on somewhat more solid ground, Maia continued to stun before heading back down the mountain for the wedding reception at the Clubhouse Tent.
Maia and her granddad – one of my favorite photos of all time.
Continuing to dazzle – loved, loved, LOVED all the personalized wedding details and peonies everywhere. Also – miles and miles of cupcakes, one more delish than the other (and I tried them all. :-))
Oh the dress – Cinderella would have been jealous.
This crew OWNED the dance floor.
Maia & Joey – after so much planning and so many other things going on in your life, I hope you’re enjoying a relaxing and care free honeymoon! Congratulations & thank you so much for trusting us with your wedding photos – your day was sheer perfection!
Kat & Damian
A huge Thank-You to the Creative Team for brining Maia & Joey’s wedding vision to life. Meg & Hannah at Jay – you guys continue to rock!
