From rags to riches or from little ad to title page

FILED IN: in the press

Back in January of 2009, I raced to the offices of the Barton Chronicle to meet the submission deadline so my little ad could be included in that year’s Valentine’s Day supplement [our internet was down due to yet another cloud in the sky – those were the days of satellite internet, yikes!]. We were new to the area, had no network of vendors or previous clients in the area and had to start business from scratch.

The ad came out, the phone started ringing and we were officially Vermont wedding photographers. 2009 booked within a couple of weeks. As did 2010 and every single year ever since. We stopped advertising as word of mouth/referrals grew and we simply couldn’t photograph as many weddings as we received requests for.

I was incredibly stoked when the Barton Chronicle contacted me earlier this year and asked if I could send them a wedding photo to use as the cover for this year’s Valentine’s Day supplement. I sure did!

Vermont's premier wedding photographer

And thanks to the phone company finally getting us DSL after 7 years, I was even able to submit the photo via email. 😉

Happy Wednesday & happy wedding planning.
